A Song for Terpsis Orchestra
Terpsis Orchestra returns for a new creative cycle, bringing together singers and instrumentalists in a collective journey of learning, artistic exchange, and music-making.
This year, the orchestra collaborates with acclaimed composers and songwriters from the contemporary folk and art music scene, exploring new repertoire written exclusively for Terpsis Orchestra. Throughout the season, participants work closely with experienced musicians, develop ensemble skills, take part in professional recordings, and contribute to the creation of new musical works.
The programme combines weekly orchestra rehearsals, instrument-group sessions, artistic collaborations, recordings, and live performances, culminating in a major concert presentation in Thessaloniki in June 2027.
For the first time, Terpsis Orchestra also aims to create a smaller and more flexible ensemble drawn from its members, expanding opportunities for artistic mobility and summer performances beyond Thessaloniki. Through this initiative, selected members of the orchestra will represent the project in concerts and cultural events in different locations.
Open to singers and instrumentalists of all levels, Terpsis Orchestra offers a unique environment for learning, collective creation, artistic development, and participation in a vibrant musical community.
