Let’s play music together
olipoli organizes music workshops that draw on their repertoire and theme from the traditions of Greece, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans. Getting in touch with the above musical traditions, providing music education through the dynamics of the ensemble, seeking-discovering one’s role within a music group, and enhancing self-expression in collaboration and interaction with other team members, are some of our workshop goals and objectives!
Terpsis Orchestra returns for a new creative cycle, bringing together singers and instrumentalists in a collective journey of learning, artistic exchange, and music-making.
Terpsis Orchestra was founded in Thessaloniki in February 2020. Bringing together singers and instrumentalists, the orchestra draws its repertoire from the musical traditions of Greece, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Balkans, while also exploring contemporary compositions inspired by these traditions.
Known for its rich and powerful sound, Terpsis Orchestra approaches traditional repertoire through a contemporary lens, seeking new artistic expressions and connections between tradition and the present. Since its formation, the orchestra has collaborated with distinguished artists including Giannis Haroulis, Sokratis Malamas, Melina Kana, Sofia Papazoglou, Haig Yazdjian, Dilek Koç, Antonis Apergis, and rapper Eisvoleas.
At its core, Terpsis Orchestra is a community of musicians united by a shared passion for music, collaboration, and creative exploration. Open to participants of different backgrounds and levels of experience, it creates opportunities for collective learning, artistic development, live performances, and recordings.
Today, Terpsis Orchestra continues to evolve as a space for contemporary musical creation, fostering new encounters between artists, audiences, and musical traditions.
